All of our physicians and PAs are experienced Urgent Care providers. They are all interested in teaching and frequently have students in the office. All are certified in basic and advanced cardiac life support. All of our physicians perform DOT exams. Dr. Vlach is a certified Medical Review officer for management of drug testing, and both Dr. Vlach and Dr. Springsteen are certified to perform FAA pilot and air traffic controller examinations. Dr. Nussdorfer is also actively involved in the care of Hospice patients.
Jan J. Vlach, MD
Dr. Vlach is a family physician certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois, taught Anatomy and Physiology for two years at Parkland College in Illinois, then earned his medical degree in 1982 at Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine. He completed a residency in Family Practice at Memorial Hospital in LaGrange, Illinois. He was a member of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society in college and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society in medical school.
Thomas C. Nussdorfer, MD
Dr. Nussdorfer is a board certified family physician. He attended the University of Notre Dame where he received his Bachelors of Science, graduating with Honors. He then went on to earn his medical degree from University of Michigan Medical School and completed his Residency at Grand Rapids Family Practice, St. Mary’s Hospital.
Peter W. Springsteen, MD
Dr.Springsteen is a board certified family physician who attended Michigan State University, graduating with Honors. He earned his medical degree at Wayne State University School of Medicine. He completed his Family Medicine Residency at the Grand Rapids Medical Education Center. He holds a Certificate in Medical Management/Information Technology through the American College of Physician Executives and Carnegie Mellon University.
Christine Milliken, PAC
Christine Milliken is a certified Physicians Assistant who earned her Masters of Science degree at Grand Valley State University in 2015. Prior to attending PA school, she graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology. Christine moved back to her home town, Traverse City, after completing her educatioin and joined The Walk In Clinic team.
Kirsten Crosby, PAC
Kirsten Crosby has been a certified Physician Assistant since 1999. Following a Bachelors in Science degree in Biology at Albion College, she received her Masters of Science in Physician Assistant studies at Central Michigan University. Kirsten joined The Walk In Clinic team in 2003
Catherine Nehil, PAC
Catherine Nehil is a board certified Physician Assistant. After 10 years as a pediatric ICU nurse she went on to become a PA. She attended Western Michigan University and graduated with honors. She spent much of her career at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing and joined The Walk In Clinic in 2018. Catherine is certified in BCLS and ACLS. She is a member of the Michigan Academy of PAs and the American Academy of PAs.
